Children & Families Alliance

The reason the Children & Families Alliance exists is simple. There are unprecedented demands placed on families due to the global pandemic, the cost of living crisis and the ensuing emotional and mental health crisis.

We are four like-minded national Christian charities who have joined forces to challenge and change the unacceptable needs faced by vulnerable children and their families in the UK.

The reason the Children & Families Alliance exists is simple. There are unprecedented demands placed on families due to the global pandemic, the cost of living crisis and the ensuing emotional and mental health crisis. Each charity involved in this alliance not only has a heart to reach children in need, but they have a key, active part to play in the support, healing and restoration urgently needed by vulnerable children and their families.

Our belief is that the UK Church is best placed to respond to these needs, with community and compassion at its core. Our organisations are committed to working alongside and equipping churches across the country to play their part for isolated children and families.

We are not a formal partnership but rather an informal alliance of like-minded charities working with a shared vision and a common goal. We are four separate organisations who each have a clearly defined mission, yet one that is complimentary, and one that lends itself to working together.

We partner with local churches and their community networks to run our evidence-informed programmes in communities and in prisons, equipping mums, dads and carers with the tools (confidence, competence and community) they need to build strong relationships and strong families. Not only does this have a positive impact on child wellbeing and future outcomes, but it also reduces the social and financial costs of family breakdown.
